B2B calling and sales development

B2B calling with a clear sales handover.

When you know who you want to reach but struggle to make time for the calls, Neotiqa can help. Peter Black personally delivers a focused B2B calling engagement, with preparation, qualification and follow-up agreed around your offer and the customers you want to reach.

What is B2B calling and sales development?
It is the work of researching relevant businesses, opening conversations by phone, understanding whether there is a fit and agreeing an appropriate next step. That can include B2B cold calling to new prospects or follow-up with existing contacts. Meeting coordination is part of the scope where agreed, while your team normally handles detailed sales discussions, proposals and closing.

For businesses with a clear offer and someone ready to follow up.

This suits a founder or sales team that understands its market but needs help doing the preparation and calling consistently. You might want to explore a defined group of new accounts, follow up on suitable enquiries or understand why a relevant audience is not progressing.

Neotiqa is UK-based and works remotely. The initial service is deliberately small and delivered by Peter, so we agree the work against his availability. It is a scoped engagement rather than a full-time dedicated representative or a staffed calling team.

If the offer is still unclear, the contact data is not ready or nobody can take the next sales conversation, we address those dependencies before agreeing a calling plan.

Agree the work around the conversation you need.

The scope can cover the following stages. We decide what you already have, what Peter will deliver and what your team will own before work begins.

Research and preparation

  • Define suitable businesses, roles and exclusions.
  • Review or research the agreed audience and establish data responsibilities.
  • Prepare an opening, useful questions and responses to likely objections using claims you approve.

Calls and agreed follow-up

  • Make outbound calls within the agreed scope.
  • Explore relevance, current circumstances and interest without forcing a meeting.
  • Coordinate an appropriate next step and complete the follow-up included in the agreement.

Notes and reporting

  • Record what was discussed, what remains unknown and any request not to be contacted.
  • Hand over the context, next action and owner through the agreed system.
  • Review activity, conversations and outcomes so decisions have evidence behind them.

Define a useful conversation before counting meetings.

A booked appointment does not, on its own, establish that someone is a suitable buyer. Before calling, we agree which businesses fit, which roles matter, what we need to learn and when a handover is worthwhile.

Qualification may cover the problem they recognise, how they handle it today, their role in a decision and whether they want to explore a next step. Budget, timing and decision process are recorded when discussed. Unknown information stays unknown.

Your team receives the relevant context and any questions the prospect expects you to answer. We distinguish interest, an agreed meeting and an accepted sales opportunity so the reporting does not confuse them.

A clear handover on both sides.

Peter delivers the agreed calling work

  • Preparation, calls, qualification and follow-up specified in the scope.
  • Conversation notes, agreed meeting coordination and reporting.
  • Escalation when a prospect needs an answer or commitment outside the approved brief.

Your team owns the sales decision

  • The offer, approved claims, audience approval and a named contact for questions.
  • Detailed discovery, technical sales discussions, proposals, commercial commitments and closing, unless separately agreed.
  • Prompt follow-up and feedback on meeting attendance, fit and subsequent progress.

We settle the working arrangements together

  • Who supplies and checks the data, permissions and contact exclusions.
  • System access, caller identity, calendars, notes and the reporting cadence.
  • Capacity, dependencies, timing, fees and how any change of scope will be agreed.

Reporting that helps you decide what to change.

We agree the measures and review cadence at the start. Reports distinguish call attempts, people reached, relevant conversations, follow-ups and meetings, with definitions that both sides understand. Repeated attempts to reach one person are not reported as different prospects.

The notes matter alongside the counts. Recurring objections, wrong contacts, requests to reconnect later and reasons for poor fit can show whether to refine the audience, explain the offer differently or stop an unproductive approach.

Your feedback connects the calling work to attended meetings, accepted opportunities and won business. Results depend on the offer, audience and subsequent sales process. We do not guarantee appointments, pipeline or revenue.

Start with a short scoping conversation.

  1. Explain the offer and audience

Tell us what you sell, who you want to reach and what a useful next conversation would achieve. An outline is enough for an initial enquiry.

  2. Agree the responsibilities

We review the data, preparation, calling work and handover, then confirm availability, dependencies, timing and fees in a written scope.

  3. Prepare, call and review

Once the scope and prerequisites are agreed, Peter prepares the calling approach and delivers the work. Reviews use the conversations and your sales feedback to decide the next step.

Questions about B2B calling

Who will make the calls?

Peter Black, Neotiqa’s founder and Managing Director, personally delivers the initial calling service. You work directly with him on preparation, the calls and the review. Availability and capacity are agreed for each engagement.

Can you do cold calling or follow up existing leads?

Both can be considered. We first review the audience, the reason for contact, the available data and any previous conversations or objections. The scope states which contacts are included and what follow-up is appropriate.

Is this an appointment setting service?

Meeting coordination can be included when a meeting is the right next step and the prospect meets your agreed criteria. The work can also cover audience research, preparation, qualification, notes and reporting. We agree the scope instead of treating every booking as a qualified opportunity.

Do you charge per meeting?

No. Fees are based on the agreed scope, including the preparation, calling and follow-up required. We provide a written price before work starts and do not publish a standard rate or promise a fixed number of meetings.

Do we need to supply the contact list?

You may already have suitable data, or audience research may form part of the scope. We agree who supplies the information, checks accuracy and contact restrictions, maintains exclusions and provides access. Calling does not start until the necessary preparation and checks are in place.

How do you handle UK calling rules?

The preparation includes agreeing responsibility for contact screening, suppression, caller identification and the use of personal data. The requirements depend on the audience and type of call. Our calling brief guide links to current ICO guidance and explains the questions to settle.

How long is an engagement and when can we start?

There is no standard public term or guaranteed start date. We agree duration and timing after reviewing the scope, data readiness and Peter’s availability. The initial conversation does not commit either side to a programme.

Will you handle proposals and close deals for us?

Your team normally owns detailed sales discussions, proposals and closing. Peter hands over the agreed context and next step. Any additional responsibility would need to be explicitly scoped and approved.

Remote support across the UK

Neotiqa works remotely with teams across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We agree the scope, system access and handover with your nominated people. Any on-site work is discussed and scoped separately.

Who would you like to speak to?

Tell us what you sell, the businesses you want to reach and where calling would help. Peter can then discuss whether a focused engagement fits your setup.
