Sales coaching

Turn better outreach into better sales conversations.

Reps who write and run their own outreach need a standard to work to and someone to hold them to it. We train and coach reps and managers on outreach that lands and gets replies, and on the conversation that follows: discovery, value, objections and a clear next step.

What does sales coaching at Neotiqa cover?
Sales coaching at Neotiqa connects the technical side of outbound to the human side of selling. It covers outreach messaging and sequence design, handling positive replies, discovery and qualification, articulating value, follow-up, proposals, objection handling and reducing unnecessary discounting, plus coaching for the managers who have to sustain it. It is delivered through workshops, individual coaching, practical role-play, consented review of real calls and messages, and follow-up support.
What we see

The problems behind the request.

Reps quoting and hoping. Demos that list features and never touch what the buyer is trying to change. Discovery that stops at the first answer. Interested prospects left without a clear next step because nobody asked for one. Sequences written in a hurry, sent at the wrong cadence, with no standard to judge them by.

None of these is fixed by a single script. They are fixed by a clear structure, practice on real situations, feedback the rep can use with the next customer, and managers who know what to look for.

Who this is for

  • B2B sales teams running their own outreach and follow-up
  • Managers who need a consistent process to coach against
  • Founders hiring their first salesperson or rebuilding a team
  • Direct-selling teams in homes, in the field and in showrooms
Scope

What is covered

A programme is built around your product, your sales process and the situations your team actually faces.

Outreach that lands and gets replies

  • Writing for placement: what makes a message look like spam to a filter, and to a person
  • Sequence design, personalisation that holds up, and follow-up discipline
  • Running sequences to a standard: cadence, limits, suppression and when to stop
  • Handling positive replies so interest turns into a conversation, not a brochure

The sales conversation

  • Discovery and qualification: finding the real need and how the decision will be made
  • Articulating value in the buyer’s terms, and explaining technical products plainly
  • Proposals and follow-up that move to a decision without manufactured urgency
  • Objection handling and reducing unnecessary discounting

Managers and process

  • Sales process playbooks and KPI frameworks the team can be measured against
  • Manager coaching: what to observe, how to give feedback, how to run a useful pipeline review
  • Weekly coaching sessions with call and message review, and ad hoc support where scoped

Hiring and onboarding

  • Hiring support for sales roles: job adverts, a structured hiring workflow, interview guides and CV screening
  • Onboarding new reps, including outreach standards and mailbox readiness for new hires
  • A clear first ninety days with measures agreed up front
Formats

How it is delivered

Formats are combined to suit the team. Every engagement has a written scope, duration, location and fee agreed before it is booked.

Team workshops

Focused sessions using your products, your process and your real objections. Discussion, demonstration and plenty of practice.

Individual coaching

Targeted support for the parts of the conversation a rep or manager wants to improve. Review, practise, apply.

Call and message review

Review of real calls and outreach, with the consent of everyone involved, so feedback is specific.

Playbooks and frameworks

Written process, KPIs and standards the team can be coached against after the sessions end.

Follow-up support

Coaching after the training, so the work continues in the business rather than stopping at the workshop.

Hiring support

Help finding, assessing and onboarding salespeople, from the advert to the first quarter.

Direct selling

For teams that sell in homes, in the field and in showrooms.

Neotiqa also trains direct-selling teams: kitchens and bathrooms, roofing and insulation, solar, batteries and heating, windows, doors and living spaces, security and telecoms, and consumer products sold through demonstrations. The customer is in front of you, the decision is often made in the appointment, and the difference between a sale and a “we’ll think about it” is usually the quality of the questions asked in the first ten minutes.

The training follows a clear structure: understand the customer, read the room, make the value clear, handle objections properly, ask for the business, and make good habits stick through role-play, conversation reviews and manager coaching. It is not a scripted, high-pressure system. Your team still needs to listen, use judgement and respect the customer’s decision.

How a programme comes together

  • Understand the starting point: team, lead sources, sales process and where business is being lost
  • Build around your sales process, products and real customer situations
  • Practise the difficult conversations with specific feedback
  • Support the work back in the business, with managers coaching the same behaviours
Credibility

Coaching from someone who has carried the number.

Peter Black started in sales in 2015, moved into direct in-home selling, and went on to achieve the highest conversion rate among more than four hundred sales representatives at a national home improvement company, converting 51% of appointments against a 25% company target. As an Area Sales Manager he led nine sales representatives and fourteen marketing agents across several territories. His later roles covered commercial energy, SaaS, bespoke software, managed IT, cybersecurity and connectivity, working the full B2B process from prospecting to account growth.

He has used SPIN, Challenger and MEDDPICC in his own selling, holds a degree in International Business Management and a Management and Leadership Diploma from the Chartered Management Institute, and now builds and runs outbound systems. Those figures describe his own previous roles. They are not client results and they are not a promise of what your team will achieve.

What coaching is not

  • Not a single script that every rep recites, and not a high-pressure system.
  • Not a promised conversion uplift. Results depend on the team, lead quality, the offer and how the training is applied. We agree useful measures at the start and review progress against your baseline.
  • Not a substitute for fixing the foundations. If replies are not arriving because email is being junked, that is a deliverability problem first.

Questions about sales coaching

Do you train on site or remotely?

Both. Workshops can run at your premises or remotely, and coaching cadences are usually remote with periodic in-person sessions. The format, location and follow-up are agreed around the team and the problem you want to solve.

How is a programme priced?

Workshops are quoted per day, and coaching as a monthly scope with a stated cadence. We quote after a short conversation about team size, delivery format and the support you need, and you receive a written scope before deciding.

Can you review our reps’ real calls and emails?

Yes, with consent from everyone involved and an agreement on how recordings and messages are handled. Specific feedback on real conversations is where most of the improvement comes from.

Do you help with hiring?

Yes. Job adverts, a structured hiring workflow, interview guides, CV screening and an onboarding plan for the first quarter. It suits a founder hiring a first business development rep as much as a manager growing an existing team.

Our team sells face to face, not by email. Is this still relevant?

Yes. The direct-selling programme is built for in-home, field and showroom teams, and it starts with your products, your customers and the decisions they make. Email skills are simply left out where they do not apply.

What happens after I enquire?

Peter gets in touch to learn about your business, how the team sells and where you want to improve. If there is a fit, we suggest a practical format and send a written scope and price. There is no obligation to book.

Last reviewed September 2026. Service descriptions are general; every engagement has a written scope.

Where does your team get stuck?

Tell us what you sell, how the team reaches customers and where conversations stall. We reply within two working days.
